Communications

About me

I have provided strategic consultancy to a broad range of charities, NGOs, and government agencies for more than 20 years, with long-standing specialism in the arts and culture. My background includes senior roles in-house – most recently as Director of Public Engagement – and in specialist agencies. Having led high-profile public campaigns and brand initiatives from the inside, I bring a practical, "client-side" understanding of how to align external communications and brand identity with an organisation's core purpose.

What I am like to work with comes down to a balance of creative curiosity and clear-headed focus. Whether I am developing a brand narrative, shaping a communications strategy, or advising on a multi-faceted project, I provide an approachable, down-to-earth partnership. I work collaboratively to strip away institutional complexity, combining a friendly style with the skilled, constructive challenge required to sharpen ideas and move projects forward.

Ultimately, I combine a passion for the transformative power of culture with the rigorous, evidence-based strategy required by any modern mission-driven organisation. I treat brand and communications not as cosmetic exercises, but as vital strategic frameworks to engage audiences and inspire confidence in funders and trustees alike. My goal is always to provide the clarity and actionable plans an organisation needs to thrive.
